The Kapil Sharma Show, one of the most loved and watched TV shows, has made its OTT debut with Netflix. Netflix, to acquire the Indian household market, took Kapil Sharma and his team on board for the show. The best part was that Sunil Grover returned after a rift with Kapil Sharma years back. Two iconic and famous comedians were back on screen with the great Indian Kapil show. However, last week, Archana Puran Singh announced the wrap of shooting season 1 with Netflix, shocking fans. She shared a picture including Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Rajiv Thakur with a cake captioned “The Great Indian Kapil Show…Congratulations!”. Archana Puran Singh also added a caption to her story- “#seasonwrap”.
The Kapil Sharma Netflix show aired on the platform on March 30, but they have wrapped it within a month. Archana Puran Singh’s story created a buzz; she told Pinkvilla, “Yes, we have wrapped up the shoot of season one of TGIKS; we shot the last episode of the season yesterday. It was great fun and celebration on the sets. The journey so far on the show has been quite amazing. It was a delightful journey, and we had some amazing times on the sets”.
If reports are to be believed, the show ended as Netflix failed to acquire the audience like TV TRP. Despite the popularity and anticipation among fans about the show and Sunil Grover & Kapil Sharma’s reunion, Netflix could not gain viewership.

The Kapil show Season 1 started with the Kapoor family as Ranbir Kapoor appeared with Riddhima Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Many popular faces appeared on the show to express their different sides and connect with fans. 6 episodes have been released where everyone’s favourite, Diljit Dosanjh, appeared with Parineeti Chopra and Imtiaz Ali after their hit OTT release Amar Singh Chamkila on Netflix.

In addition, Amir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol also appeared on the Kapil show. However, he also said there will be season 2 and not much of a gap after season 1. “We have done 13 episodes, and the second season will come out soon. We just wrapped up the first season.
