Dhurandhar 2 OTT release date in India is confirmed. Finally.
If you spent yesterday watching people abroad post about watching it on Netflix while you refreshed every OTT app on your phone, hoping something had changed — I was right there with you. That was genuinely painful. But JioHotstar came through, and honestly, they did not just give us a date. They gave us a whole event.
Here is everything.
THE DATE — CONFIRMED
June 4. Grand Digital Premiere. 7 PM. JioHotstar.
June 5. Regular streaming begins. For everyone with a subscription.
JioHotstar’s official announcement said it best — “Aandhi banke jo aa raha hai usse DHURANDHAR kehte hain. Watch Dhurandhar The Revenge, Raw and Undekha. Grand Digital Premiere on June 4th at 7 PM, starts streaming from June 5th only on JioHotstar.”
That is the Dhurandhar 2 OTT release date India fans have been waiting for since March.
WHAT IS HAPPENING ON JUNE 4 AT 7 PM?
This is not just the film starting. JioHotstar is doing a 30-minute pre-show before the movie even begins.
Cast conversations. Behind-the-scenes footage. How Aditya Dhar made the film. Moments that never made it to any press release or interview. Think of it as the red carpet premiere — except you are watching it in your house, probably in your pyjamas, which is honestly better.
After the pre-show, the film starts. So if you are on JioHotstar on June 4 at 7 PM, you are watching Dhurandhar 2 before the rest of India does.
Then, from June 5, it opens up for everyone.
IS IT FREE?
No. JioHotstar will not stream Dhurandhar 2 for free.

WHAT IS THE RAW AND UNDEKHA VERSION?
Okay, this is the part I am genuinely excited about.
The version coming to JioHotstar runs 3 hours and 52 minutes. The theatrical version was 3 hours and 49 minutes. Those 3 extra minutes are scenes that were cut before the film was released in cinemas. The film also carries an Adult rating on JioHotstar, which tells you the content is more intense than what Indian audiences saw on the big screen.
Aditya Dhar made a film. The censor board saw it. Some things came out. Now they are going back in.
Three minutes does not sound like a lot. But if you have seen this film, you know that three minutes in a film like this can mean a lot.

WHY IS IT ON NETFLIX ABROAD BUT JIOHOTSTAR IN INDIA?
A lot of people were confused by this — and understandably so. Indians could see the film on Netflix internationally and could not figure out why they were blocked.
The answer is simple. Dhurandhar 2’s theatrical prints in India always credited JioHotstar as the official OTT partner. JioHotstar paid Rs 150 crore for exclusive Indian streaming rights. Netflix got the international rights. Two completely separate deals.
Rs 150 crore is one of the biggest OTT deals in recent Indian cinema history. That kind of money means nobody else gets to stream it in India. Full stop.
HOW BIG IS THIS FILM?
Genuinely historic numbers.
Released on March 19, 2026, and it is still in theatres right now, two months later. Over Rs 1,144 crore net in India. Worldwide gross crossing Rs 1,790 crore. One of the biggest Bollywood box office runs of all time.
This is Ranveer Singh’s biggest film. Aditya Dhar’s biggest film. And it has been running house full shows well into its eighth and ninth weeks. That does not happen unless something very right is going on.
