new OTT releases this week May 2026 Berlin Season 2 Netflix Project Hail Mary Prime Video JioHotstar

It is Friday evening, and I need you to stop whatever you are doing right now.

Berlin Season 2 on Netflix dropped today. Kartavya on Netflix is also live as of this evening. Project Hail Mary on Prime Video has been sitting there since Monday, and somehow, people are still not talking about it the way they should. Good Omens Season 3 on Prime Video ended forever on Tuesday, and I am still not okay about it.

New OTT releases this week May 2026 have genuinely been something else. This is not a normal week. Let me tell you what is worth your time and what you can skip.

BERLIN SEASON 2 — NETFLIX — RIGHT NOW, TODAY

Okay, first things first.

If you loved Money Heist — and let us be honest, you did — Berlin Season 2 Netflix is live right now as you are reading this. Not tomorrow. Not this weekend. Now. Go check.

Season 1 of Berlin was one of those shows that snuck up on everyone. Nobody expected a Money Heist spinoff to be as stylish and entertaining as it was. Season 2 takes the same charismatic, completely untrustworthy Pedro Alonso and drops him into Seville for a heist involving a priceless Da Vinci painting. More complications, more betrayals, more of that very specific Spanish crime drama energy that makes you feel like you are watching something slightly too cool for you.

If you have not seen Season 1 — it is six episodes. Watch it tonight. Come back for Season 2 tomorrow. That is your entire weekend sorted.

If you have already seen Season 1 — what are you still doing here? Go.

KARTAVYA — NETFLIX — ALSO TODAY

Saif Ali Khan plays a cop. Not the fun kind. The kind who is tired, morally cornered, and watching everyone around him cut deals he does not want to make.

Kartavya Netflix dropped today alongside Berlin Season 2 and it is a completely different vibe — slower, grittier, more interested in the uncomfortable spaces between right and wrong than in action sequences. Saif Ali Khan is genuinely good in this kind of role. He brings a quietness to it that works better than shouting would.

If you want something tonight that is not flashy but stays with you — this is worth watching.

PROJECT HAIL MARY — PRIME VIDEO — SINCE MONDAY

I am going to say this once and I need you to actually listen.

Project Hail Mary Prime Video is one of the best things streaming anywhere right now and the fact that people are still going on about other shows while this is sitting on Prime Video is genuinely frustrating to me.

Ryan Gosling. Alone on a spacecraft. No memory of how he got there. Slowly realising he is the only thing standing between Earth and extinction. Based on the Andy Weir novel — same person who wrote The Martian, if that helps you understand the energy.

I am not going to tell you more than that. Do not watch the trailer. Do not read about it. Just open Prime Video, find it, and press play. Come back and tell me I was wrong if you think I am overselling it. I do not think you will.

Quick note — it is currently on a rental model on Prime Video, meaning you pay a small fee to access it before it goes into the regular library. Pay it. You will not regret it.

THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL — JIOHOTSTAR — SINCE TUESDAY

Jon Bernthal came back as Frank Castle and from what people are saying, he has never been better in this role.

The Punisher One Last Kill on JioHotstar landed on May 12. Frank is trying — genuinely trying — to be done with violence. And then the Gnucci crime family makes that impossible. What follows is exactly what you expect from a Punisher story and exactly what you want from it. Brutal, committed, and emotionally grounded in a way the character deserves.

If you are a Marvel fan who likes the dark end of the spectrum — JioHotstar, right now.

GOOD OMENS SEASON 3 — PRIME VIDEO — SINCE TUESDAY

This one hurt a little.

Good Omens Season 3 Prime Video arrived on May 13 and it is the last time we will ever see Aziraphale and Crowley together. The final season is actually a single 90-minute episode — not a full series — and that is a deliberate choice that makes sense once you watch it.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant are extraordinary together and have been for three seasons now. The ending is — I will not say more. Just watch it.

If you have never seen Good Omens before, two seasons are on Prime Video. Each season is about six episodes. Watch both and then watch the finale. Do it this weekend. It is worth the time.

ALSO STREAMING THIS WEEK

Marty Life is Short Netflix from May 12 — a documentary on comedian Martin Short that is funny and quietly devastating in equal measure. Good for a Sunday morning.

Devil May Cry Season 2 Netflix from May 12 — Dante is back, the demon world is chaotic, anime fans already know what to do.

COMING SOON — TWO THINGS TO SAVE THE DATE FOR

Fallout Season 2 Prime Video drops on May 20 — that is next Wednesday. One of the most entertaining shows of last year is back.

Sikandar Netflix release is on May 25. If you missed it in theatres — and honestly given the reviews, many people did — Netflix is your chance.

WHAT SHOULD YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THIS WEEKEND

Tonight — Berlin Season 2. It just dropped, everyone will be talking about it by Sunday, and Friday night is the perfect time to start something stylish and fun.

Saturday — Project Hail Mary on Prime Video. Sit down properly, put your phone away, and give it your full attention. It deserves that.

Sunday — Good Omens Season 3. 90 minutes. Cup of chai. End of an era.

That is a genuinely perfect OTT weekend if you ask me. And if you are still wondering what to watch this weekend beyond these — we have you covered.
