OTT releases May 2026 complete list Netflix Prime Video Hotstar ZEE5 Sony LIV

OTT releases May 2026 are here — and honestly, this is not a normal month. This is the kind of month where you look at the release calendar and genuinely start doing mental math about how many hours of sleep you can afford to lose. Priyanka Chopra is back in Citadel Season 2. Nicolas Cage is playing Spider-Man in the 1930s. The Boys is ending forever. Kohrra Season 2 is here. And that is just the first two weeks.

May 2026 is not a normal month for OTT.

I have gone through every confirmed release coming this May across Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5, and Sony LIV. Here is everything you need to know — what it is, when it drops, and whether it is actually worth clearing your schedule for.
Here is your complete guide to OTT releases May 2026 — what is dropping, when, and what is actually worth watching.

May 1 — The Most Packed Single Day of the Year

I am not exaggerating. Five major releases on the same day. May 1 is going to be absolute chaos and I am very much here for it.

Glory — Netflix — May 1

This is my personal most-anticipated Indian original of the month. Glory is a sports crime drama set in the world of boxing — two brothers come back to their hometown to help their father, an aging coach chasing one last shot at something meaningful, only to get pulled into a murder investigation that changes everything. Pulkit Samrat and Divyenndu are both excellent actors and putting them together in a story like this feels like a genuinely good idea. Netflix India has been hit or miss with originals but when they get it right — Kota Factory, Delhi Crime, Jamtara — they really get it right. This one has that energy. Watch it on May 1.

The Kerala Story 2 — Netflix — May 1

Love it or hate it, the first Kerala Story was one of the most talked-about films of its year. The sequel arrives on Netflix with three young women at the centre — women who chose love over tradition and ended up trapped in ways they never imagined. It is going to generate conversation the moment it drops. Whether that conversation is your thing or not, a lot of people are going to be watching this on May 1. Available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Sapne Vs Everyone Season 2 — Amazon Prime Video — May 1

Two men fighting for their dreams against a world that keeps pushing back. Season 1 was sharp, grounded, and genuinely well-written. Season 2 is reportedly darker and higher-stakes. If you watched Season 1, you are already subscribed on May 1. If you have not — go watch Season 1 this week, it is on Prime right now.

Undekhi: The Final Battle — Sony LIV — May 1

This is the one crime drama fans have been waiting to see wrapped up properly. Undekhi has been one of the most consistent and genuinely gripping Indian crime shows of the last few years — the Atwal family power struggle has been building for seasons, and now it finally ends. From what people who have seen early cuts are saying, they do not go easy on anyone. Good. That is how a finale should work.

Aadu 3 — ZEE5 — May 1

Shaji Pappan is back. If you know, you know. If you do not know — Aadu is a Malayalam comedy franchise that has a genuinely cult following, and this third installment apparently puts the gang across three different timelines simultaneously. That sounds completely unhinged, and I mean that as a compliment. Malayalam cinema has been having an extraordinary run, and Aadu 3 is the fun, chaotic, joyful counterpoint to all the serious stuff dropping this month.

Citadel Season 2 — Amazon Prime Video — May 6

Right. Here we go.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia Sinh and Richard Madden as Mason Kane are back — three years after Season 1 and one very successful Indian spinoff later. All seven episodes drop at once on May 6, which means this is a full weekend event.

The first season was not perfect. Critics were divided, and honestly, some of that criticism was fair. But audiences enjoyed it for exactly what it was — a big, beautiful, expensive spy show that moves fast and does not ask you to think too hard. Season 2 has a bigger cast, a bigger mission, and apparently higher stakes. Stanley Tucci is back. New additions include Jack Reynor and Matt Berry, who is a genuinely interesting combination.

For Indian audiences specifically, Citadel Season 2 carries extra weight after Citadel: Honey Bunny was such a huge hit. People are invested in this universe now. May 6 is going to be a big day.

Clear your Saturday. All seven episodes. You know what to do.

Spider-Noir — Amazon Prime Video — May 8

Nicolas Cage. Playing Spider-Man. In 1930s New York. As a hard-boiled noir detective.

That sentence either sold you completely or it did not. If it did — Prime Video, May 8. If it did not — watch the trailer and it will.

The Boroughs — Netflix — Mid May

The Duffer Brothers — the people who created Stranger Things — have made their first new show since that series ended. The Boroughs follows a group of retirees who discover a mysterious supernatural threat in their quiet neighbourhood. The Duffer Brothers doing supernatural drama is never something you skip. Exact date to be confirmed but expect it mid-May.

The Punisher: One Last Kill — JioHotstar — May 12

Frank Castle is back for what is being called his final story. He is trying to live quietly without violence — and predictably that does not work out. If you are into dark, gritty Marvel content that does not pull its punches, this is on JioHotstar from May 12.

Exam — Netflix — May 15

A young woman tries to expose a massive paper-leak network running high-stakes competitive exams. This is one of those premises that sounds immediately relevant because paper leaks have been genuinely front-page news in India for years now. Netflix turning it into a crime thriller could go very well. Worth watching when it drops on May 15.

Kohrra Season 2 — Netflix — May 2026

If you watched Kohrra Season 1 — the Punjabi murder mystery that was quietly one of the finest crime dramas Netflix India has ever produced — you have been waiting for this. Mona Singh and Barun Sobti are back with a new case, same creative team. The first season got so much right — the setting, the characters, the slow burn of the investigation. If Season 2 matches even half of that, it is going to be excellent. Exact date not confirmed yet but it is coming in May.

The Boys Season 5 Finale — Amazon Prime Video — May 20

This is it—the last ever episode of The Boys. Everything ends on May 20.

If you have been watching weekly, you already know the stakes are impossible and the show has been swinging hard all season. If you have been waiting to binge — May 20 is the date you need. All eight episodes will be out. Watch the whole thing in one go and say goodbye to one of the best shows of the last decade.

Do not read spoilers. Seriously. Do not.
